This question, which takes us straight back to the 1970s and 1980s, arose while La Presse was visiting the Créations GAMA workshop, located on rue Saint-Georges in La Prairie.
Behind a reinforced door where the temperature is maintained at 12°C, with controlled humidity, hundreds of large coats are lined up under an industrial-high ceiling. There are pearly whites, golds, long-haired chocolates, short-haired blacks...

Créations GAMA presented its "Red Carpet Ready" collection at Galerie Primeau, following its launch in Cannes. The event supported the Fondation En Cœur and highlighted Gabrielle Mailhot-Côté's commitment to ethical fashion, featuring recycled fur and leather. Guests enjoyed artistic performances and avant-garde designs, reinforcing the brand's reputation for sophisticated and sustainable fashion.
Creations GAMA takes control of the Primeau Art Gallery
From Cannes to Montreal, Créations GAMA hosted a fashion show at the Galerie d'art Primeau. The event combined art and luxury while supporting the Fondation en Cœur. Gabrielle Mailhot-Côte presented a collection using recycled fur, adding a modern and fun twist to fur.

The founder of Créations GAMA, Gabrielle, distinguished herself at a festival of young designers in Cannes. Her goal was to showcase her internationally renowned expertise in Montreal. We also discuss the creation of the company, as well as the revival of three struggling fur companies, thus repurposing recycled fur to create not only pieces, but also accessories.
